Financial assistance for Armed Forces

The Government announced in December 2007 that they were passing legislation allowing all members of the Armed Forces to benefit from the Open Market HomeBuy Scheme, should individuals qualify.

This scheme allows key worker groups to benefit from financial assistance when buying their own home, including the making of a loan on terms which in most cases are more favourable than available elsewhere. This scheme could make the difference between you and your family being able to buy your first property and that is why we have provided the scheme guide for your information.

As in all cases, the availablility of a Mortgage is subject to you being able to show you can afford the repayments.
