Prince Harry qualifies as frontline Apache pilot
Prince Harry is set to return to Afghanistan after qualifying yesterday as a frontline Apache pilot.
The 27-year-old royal completed his 18-months of training at the top of his class and has been declared as "limited combat ready." Once he has completed his pre-deployment training he will be classes as "fully combat ready."
Harry is expected to join the team of Apache pilots in Afghanistan, which have the highest kill rate of all British troops in the warzone. No doubt, the majority of this team are likely to consider booking some military life insurance before being deployed.
According to The Mail Online, he could join the team as early as this autumn.
The Prince, nicknamed amongst military personnel as 'Captain Wales', was even offered an prize after being recognised as the best co-pilot gunman amongst his class of 20 trainee servicemen.
In an interview with Sky News, a senior military officer was keen to praise Harry's efforts during the intense training.
"He is quick and bright. He shoots well, he rides well, he can fly and he's not afraid of taking decisions," it was claimed.
Harry served ten weeks in Afghanistan during 2007-08 and is said to be keen to help out British forces there once more by engaging in air combat.
